Growing
up in British Columbia, Canada, I came to Christ at age 17, and soon
sensed God directing me into full-time ministry. I met my wife, Noelle,
at Multnomah University and after graduation, helped plant a church in
SW Portland. We have two daughters, Kaelee (13) and Emily Taylor (9),
whose favorite pastimes are reading, drawing, sotball, basketball,
soccer, dance, piano and wrestling with Dad! The operative word for our
family the past few years has been adventure, and after 10 years of
youth ministry at this church, we sensed God moving us to a new phase
of life. He soon showed us that it was going to be an adventure with
Jose, whom I’ve known since 2000. I joined Jose on a
Festival:Manchester evangelism training trip to England in 2003, and
returned with a secret desire to some day work with him, which God
brought to fruition in 2005.
We’re a young organization
where we’re all fulfilling multiple positions, and Noelle and I
absolutely love the tight-knit team (really a family) that God has
pulled together. For me, to be a part of something as strategic and
exciting as seeing adults and kids coming face to face with Jesus, and
equipping people to share their faith in Christ … there’s nothing
better! It’s been a challenging and fulfilling year, and we’re excited
to see what God has in store for the future!
Becky Hamilton
My
name is Becky Hamilton and I'm the newest member of the team. I
started in June of 2006 as Jose's part-time bookkeeper. I've
known Jose and Carmen for quite a few years and have always admired
their ministry and passion for the lost. I've been married to my
husband, John, for 19 years and we have three children. It's
awesome being a wife and mother and I absolutely love being a part
of the JZEI team and count it a total blessing in my life!
